Dolly Parton admits the cover of her upcoming album, Blue Smoke, features a manufactured image.
Dolly also thinks the name "Blue Smoke" is appropriate for the record. The country star explains that it references the Smoky Mountains, which is where she was raised. She adds that the disc has "a lot of bluegrass flavors to it," so she believes the "blue" in the title sort of reflects the album's sound.
"Blue Smoke" will arrive in stores on May 13th. Parton will support the release with an appearance on QVC this weekend. She'll give a special performance of songs from the album along with a selection of hits. "Dolly Parton Q Sessions Live from Nashville - featuring Blue Smoke" will air on QVC Sunday night at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
In addition, QVC will offer an exclusive deluxe edition of the album that includes a bonus disc of live tracks.
